Kia Ora, reader. For art this term, we had to select and draw at least five different cultural patterns to add with our Koru’s.
Next we had to choose an image that Raewyn Harris drew, and take inspiration from her designs.
Then we practice drawing those on a draft paper (So not our actual paper). After drawing on two draft papers and we think we’re ready, we move on to a bigger paper, which isn’t a draft.
After that we need to draw the big Koru’s first. Then we had to use a ruler to rule lines behind the big Koru’s. (Don’t line it through the Koru’s of course!) After that, we had to trace over what we drew with a yellow chalk. (Also be sure the patterns are big enough so it’s easier to colour between and inside.). Thank you for reading. 🤓
